Rebecca Crookston, PCC

Ms. Crookston is a 2008 graduate of Kent State University, and received a Masters of Education in Community Counseling.  She previously attended Bowling Green State University, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Community Services.

Ms. Crookston is independently licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor by the State of Ohio, Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.  She has been employed at NEOBH since 2010, and has focused her work on children, adolescents, parents and families.

Ms. Crookston was instrumental in the further development of the Intensive Parent-Child Intervention (IPCI) Program at NEOBH, and currently assists parents to improve their parenting skills and their awareness of the developmental needs of their children.  Ms. Crookston's individual treatment work includes children that have been affected by trauma, and she is skilled at working with children whose functioning has been impacted by abuse and neglect.  She is additionally proficient at working with birth families in order to aid in the reunification process.  Ms. Crookston received additional experience in the area of adoption within the context of a previous employment experience, and utilizes these skills to help children who are unable to be reunified with their birth families following social service intervention.
