Parmenter earned a Masters of Education in Community
Malone University in 1999. She was awarded a Bachelor of Social
Work degree in 1994, from Malone University.
is independently licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor by the
Ohio, Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. She has been employed at
NEOBH since 2015.
beginning of her 20+ year career as a counselor, Ms. Parmenter has
practice on children, adolescents, and their families. She has
skills in treatment approaches needed by adults who have a variety of
life issues. Ms. Parmenter has more than twenty years of experience in
provision of both Home and School-Based treatment services, and has
treatment provision to client populations that would not otherwise be
access quality mental health services, due to various barriers. Ms.
Parmenter has worked within schools in the Stark County area, and has
training to teachers regarding how to effectively intervene with
emotional concerns may be demonstrated within the classroom. This work
allowed her to assist parents and teachers toward the goal of ensuring
are successful in both their home and their classroom environments.
Ms. Parmenter has received specialized training in Trauma Focused
Behavioral Therapy and has training and experience in the treatment of
individuals impacted by grief and loss. She additionally provides
Consultation, and can assist parents in the effective parenting of
with problematic behaviors.
